St David’s Day Arts and Crafts Market

To celebrate the biggest day in Wales, head to Cardiff city centre for an amazing St David’s Day Market.

Open from 10am to 5.30pm every day until the 3rd March, the market will feature original arts and crafts stalls, gift shops and places to sample seasonal food and drink.

You can find the wooden stalls, decorated with a Welsh theme and plenty of Welsh flags, on Working Street in the city centre.

From traditional Welsh dishes, to tasty tipples, it’s the perfect way to celebrate St David’s Day in Cardiff.

The mega-selling Valleys band are officially returning to Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on Tuesday, March 6 and Wednesday, March 7, to play two massive home-coming shows.

The Cwmaman rockers recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of their ’97 debut LP Word Gets Around and released their latest album, Scream Above The Sounds, in October last year.

Horrible Histories are returning to the Sherman Theatre for a special new production featuring more of everyone’s favourite characters from history.

In this gruesome show you can find out why the Romans were revolting. Ask questions like, could you survive the vicious Vikings? Would you party with the Puritans? Clap along with crazy King Charles. Vomit with the vile Victorians and prepare to do battle in the frightful First World War.

It’s history with the nasty bits left in and the ideal activity for children and families.

Beauty and the Beast

When: 18th March

Beauty and the Beast

Capturing the hearts and minds of generations old and new with its classic tale of love and enchantment, the spellbinding story of Beauty and The Beast comes to Wales Millennium Centre for a very special concert experience.

One of the highlights of the Cardiff events in March, watch this heart warming tale unfold on a giant screen, accompanied by a huge orchestra performing the magical score.

Beauty and the Beast, which stars Emma Watson and Dan Stevens as the titular characters, has become a household favourite and this special screening is sure to be a big hit.

Souljam – Soul Power

When: 19th March

Returning after January’s sold out party as part of their ‘Return of the Disco, Souljam are back in Cardiff with the best in Funk, Soul and Disco.

Quickly becoming one of the nation’s favourite Soul and Funk nights, they have brought their amazing nights to over 15 different cities throughout England, Scotland and Wales.

This March they are bringing ‘Soul Power’ to Cardiff’s amazing nightlife venue, Clwb ifor Bach, for an evening that promises to be the best yet.

Niall Horan

One Direction’s talented Irishman, Niall Horan has announced an arena tour of the UK, which comes to Cardiff on the 24th March.

Having just released his debut album, Flicker, Horan will be joined by rising star Julia Michaels as a special guest on his Cardiff show.

He’s currently riding on the wave of his first single, Slow Hands success after it went platinum last summer.
