Exchange Hotel’s Guide to Cardiff Oxjam Music Festival 2017

Oxfam began organising music festivals all over Britain more than a decade ago raising millions over the years to help do life-changing work in the most impoverished areas of the globe.

Since 2006 Cardiff Oxjam Music Festival has been an event the city looks forward to each year.

Starting with a build-up to the main weekend which involves lots of individual fundraising events including busk-a-thons and tea party get-togethers all over the city. The entire organisation is volunteer-led and all festival costs are covered by these events, allowing the full profit of the main weekend to go to the charities most important projects.

Oxjam will be warming up music lovers all over Cardiff this weekend with a massive 60 acts taking to six popular Cardiff event venues.

From midday to midnight a variety of well-established local acts will perform their sets, with everything from hip-hop to techno being pumped out from each venues centre stage and we’ve got the full rundown of who’s on when and where.

So for Exchange Hotel guests and those visiting Cardiff this weekend check out this amazing gathering of local musicians in the heart of Wales’ capital city.
