For over 20 years Cardiff Christmas Market has been a magical festive attraction for the capital city bringing its visitors over 200 pop up stalls selling unique arts and crafts alongside seasonal food and drinks.

“Tis the season its always the real thing” and this year the real thing will be pulling into Cardiff Christmas Market.

That’s right the Coca-Cola truck will be making its rounds of the UK’s biggest towns and cities over the next few months coming to Cardiff on the 19th November.

Get into town to snap a selfie of you and the infamously twinkly truck as it stops to deliver Coca-cola to Cardiff for Christmas before setting off again across the country spreading the festive joy.

See if Santa winks at you as you wave goodbye to the Coca-Cola truck this Christmas in Cardiff.

Santa’s Grotto

Make your way into the oldest part of Cardiff Castle to see Santa in his magical Christmas Grotto. He’ll be waiting to see all the good boys and girls with some pre-Christmas gifts.

The whole family can then explore other areas of the castle discovering some very special Christmas characters along the way and get involved in some fun Christmas craft activities too.

If you are feeling creative this festive season why not make your way to St Fagan’s and partake in a masterclass of Christmas decoration design taught by successful South Wales artist Becky Adams.

Make your way to the stunning St Fagan’s National Museum and enjoy getting hands-on making yourself some your own one of a kind Christmas decorations.

Using vintage textiles, old song books and pages from novels Becky will teach you how to adorn your family tree with treasures of old, reshaped into flowers baubles and other Christmassy characters.

You’ll be served light refreshments and be supplied with all the materials, tools and know how on the day so all you have to bring is a can-do attitude and a helping of Christmas creativity to St Fagan’s Christmas papercraft course.

In the depths of Cardiff Castle, a 15th-century banquet hall will be hosting the ultimate Christmas Wreath Making class for those who want to take a peice of Cardiff Christmas home with them and to hang on their door.

Christmas Nights

The perfect Cardiff Christmas can be spent at St Fagan’s National Museum where guests will be treated to everything that makes the season special.

The little ones will get a chance to pen their Christmas lists to Santa inside a Victorian school then pop it in the post from Wales’ smallest post office.

Everyone will be invited to join in some Welsh Christmas traditions and come together singing Christmas carols in the chapel followed by a Welsh Plygain performance.

Spend an evening enjoying the festive fun at Cardiff by Candlelight. A charity event taking place at the City Hospice which involves a 5k walk around Whitchurch lead by the glow of candlelight.

The event is free to attend with welcomes any size donation from the public. As well as doing something wonderful for charity at this Christmas event in Cardiff visitors can also pick up a crafty gift or two, sip on some warming wintery mulled wine and snack on handmade mince pies.

There will be some Santa fun for the kids to as they get to meet the man in red as well as enjoy some festive fun and games.

The best way to enjoy a Cardiff Christmas whilst also helping an amazing charity at Cardiff by Candlelight 2017.

Christmas on Broadway

For a heart-warming Cardiff Christmas experience book seats to see the singing star of the Snowman, Aled Jones, as he takes to the stage to perform all our favourite festive numbers from carols to musicals.

This amazing Christmas concert is another great way to give to charity at Christmas. The entire event’s proceeds will go to providing defibrillators to schools and communities across the country under the ‘Keep Wales Ticking’ appeal.

Hosted in the City Hall of Cardiff visitors can make a full day of festive fun from dawn til dusk going from Cardiff Winterwonderland straight to seeing Christmas on Broadway.
