Horrible Histories: Brand New Barmy Britain

Learning about history can be fun and exciting as Horrible Histories Barmy Britain has proven, year after year. Part four of this epic stage production is filled with fascinating facts from Britain’s past which are poured onto stage for eager audiences to enjoy.
Kids and adults can learn more about the UK’s meanest monarchs and understand how the Romans ruled the earth as Horrible History is combined with today’s popular culture.

You’ve Got Dragons
When: 16th – 20th April
Where: Wales Millennium Centre
This amazing theatre production helps young audiences deal with their inner fears, worries and insecurities.
The play, based on a novel by Kathryn Cave, tells the story of a young boy, Ben, whose inner concerns take the form of Dragons.
Ben then goes on to explain how to deal with each dragon differently, even the ones that simply pop-up as if from nowhere. Taking Flight Theatre Co. will also be hosting a Dragon Taming Workshop to run alongside the play, inviting audiences to express themselves after watching the show.
You’ve Got Dragon’s is a great way to deal with real-life problems facing children today, whilst also having fun with your little ones.
Egg and Spoon
When: 17th April
Where: Sherman Theatre
Interactive theatre is a sure fire way to get your kids interested in the theatrical worlds that can appear on stage.
At Egg and Spoon, kids can learn all about the magic of theatre as well as the science of nature and the seasons. You and the family will be invited into the magic circle where you can come and go as you please.
During show time kids will be introduced to Birdy, still in his egg, then get taken on a journey through the seasons. They’ll get to see and experience what happens to Birdy’s egg all year round until he hatches in Spring.
There’s rain running, snow sleeping and even a chance to attend a butterfly party all at The Sherman Theatre in Cardiff this Spring.
Tom Gates Live on Stage
When: 24th – 28th April
Where: New Theatre
One of the latest and greatest children’s novels to take hold of imaginations all over the UK has finally made its way to theatres this Spring.
Writer and author Liz Pichon has created a wonderful world on a page and is now amazed to see her world brought to life on the stage.

Tom deals with the troubles every child faces on a daily basis, including a school nemesis, a grumpy sister and a homework-eating dog!

From inner dragons to baby dragons now at St David’s Hall, as Zog crashes down onto the stage in Cardiff.
All Zog wants is to be the best dragon he can be but first, he must make it through Dragon school and sadly he just keeps making mistakes.
After tripping and slipping his way through the first few years of school Zog finds a friend in Princess Pearl and everything suddenly starts getting better.
The magic of Zog is taken from the pages of a children’s novel, projected on stage and transforming the theatre into a magical world of make-believe.
It’s a play filled with fun, live music, colourful characters and barrels of laughs for the whole audience.
Milkshake! Live: Milkshake Monkey’s Musical
When: 12th May
Where: Wales Millenium Centre
M-m-m-m, me-me-me-me, more Milkshake!
What parent hasn’t heard that once or twice a week in the morning?
Many a mum and dad will set their morning routine to Milkshake’s morning line-up. And tell us what kid wouldn’t love a trip to see their favourite cartoon characters live before their very eyes?
From Digby Dragon and the Floogals to Shimmer and Shine and Nella the Princess Knight, all of the Milkshake cast come to the aid of Milkshake Monkey to cure his sudden stage fright and save the day.

A story that will never get old, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat is something we all remember from our childhood.
This amazing musical will once again take to stages in Cardiff theatres to tell us all the Biblical adventures of Joseph and his brothers.
Songs from the original Andrew Loyd Webber production will make an appearance including everyone’s favourite Any Dream Will Do.
