Get the Perfect Angle of The Norwegian Church

The Norwegian Church Arts Centre is one of Cardiff’s most famous landmarks and a real gem of the city. Dating back to 1868, the unique church was built as a place of worship and home comforts for the Norwegian community in Cardiff.

The church served Cardiff’s local Nordic community as well as Norwegian sailors passing through the city on their travels. The historic church has also had one particularly famous face pass through its doors. World famous writer Roald Dahl was baptised in the church and his family were regular members of the congregation.

When the church fell into a state of disrepair, Dahl stood at the forefront of the campaign to preserve it, being pointed as the first president of The Norwegian Church Preservation Trust.
