St Fagans National History Museum

This February half term, St Fagan’s National History Museum invites you to take a nostalgic step back in time!
Remember the days without an iPhone or iPad in hand? The museum will be focusing on the theme of Childhood throughout the half term week, with activities including traditional toy sessions, creative crafts, guided tours and tonnes of imagination.
Not forgetting, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, you can look forward to a charming, traditional children’s fairground. With entertaining rides and plenty to keep the whole family busy, we’re sure there will be lots of laughter and some very tired children (and adults!) at the end of your visit.
With free entry, the museum’s Victorian Childhood Tours are just £2 per person, while the Playtime Toy Sessions are completely free. You won’t need to worry about being feeling overcharged during your visit to one of Cardiff’s most high-quality, sentimental attractions.
Fantastic Mr Fox

Where: New Theatre, Cardiff
In celebration of the centenary of Roald Dahl, the New Theatre will see the timeless author’s much-loved Fantastic Mr Fox brought to life.
Telling the story of one cunningly clever fox and friends, Dahl’s witty storytelling style can be enjoyed by adults, teens and children. This production definitely shouldn’t be missed!

Where: Penarth Pier Pavilion
Just a short drive or a scenic walk from Cardiff Bay, Penarth Pier Pavilion is a striking spot to watch the world go by, and this half-term we can assure you that it’s well worth the visit!
Penarth Pier Pavilion’s upcoming Space Day is calling all astronauts to discover the very best of science. Set to be a fascinating day or stargazing and mad science, you’ll learn about the wonders of the universe and beyond with help from professional astronomers.
Guaranteed to keep you hooked, you can expect interactive Mad Science Shows from the fantastic Mad Science team at 10:45am, 12:45pm and 2:15pm. And as an extra treat, you can admire the sparkle of the night sky right within the building, as the event includes a pop up Dark Sky Wales Planetarium.
Brick and Block Workshop

Where: The Red Dragon Centre
The LEGO Batman movie brought a new action-packed adventure to The Red Dragon’s Centre’s ODEON this week, and the centre are inviting you to continue the excitement over February half term! So, why not kick off half term with the perfect balance of fun and relaxation? This FREE workshop is perfect for making the most of a Monday afternoon with imagination and creativity.
No matter your age, this is something everyone can get involved with. You’re free to build whatever you like, and could even win a star prize for your creation! Oh, and don’t miss out on a chance to meet the legendary Batman himself!
